After a year of exclusively virtual trainings, we are excited to be able to plan for a state conference that will be in-person for Camp Habitat 2021! Attendees will be able to enjoy the beautiful NC mountains at the end of September for three days of networking, learning, and fellowship. For the schedule and other details, please visit Habitat NC’s Camp Habitat 2021 website.
Executive Directors and board chairs are invited to attend an ED Summit on Tuesday, Sept. 28th, starting around noon (details to come). This free-of-charge gathering will include lunch and opportunities to discuss pressing matters for Habitat in our state, including breakout sessions so that similarly-sized affiliates can connect with each other.
Lodging will be in Ridgecrest’s newly-renovated Mountain Laurel East building for $129/night, regardless of single or double occupancy (attendees can also choose to stay in the unrenovated Rhododendron building for a slightly lower rate of $109/night, based on availability). Meal plans include lunch Wednesday through breakfast Friday morning for $72. A la carte meals may be available for purchase on the day, but cannot be guaranteed. Please call the Ridgecrest reservation desk to book your rooms and meals at 800-588-7222. Tell them you’re with Habitat for Humanity!
Please note: There may still be some minor adjustments and additions to this schedule.
This full-day session will be held on Tuesday, September 28th from 9AM - 3PM and includes lunch. Each Habitat affiliate must have a certified Qualified Loan Originator to remain in good standing with HFHI. North Carolina is a state that is listed as fully exempt from the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act) but must still provide evidence that each individual Loan Originator is qualified through state and federal training. This QLO training session will qualify as the state training. A certificate of completion will be emailed to each attendee who completes the training and will be in effect for one year from the date of certification. For information regarding HFHI Guidelines for QLO Training please go to http://habitatnc.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/TILA-QLO-Requirements-Update.pdf.
